Dyeing Silk with Natural Materials (10am-1pm)

Learn how to make color with completely natural materials. Students will dye their own silk scarves with materials from nature, including wood chips, insects, nuts, and flowers. Learn different shibori tying and folding techniques and how adjusting the pH of dyes with the addition of iron can create different variations of colors.
