Torn between exploring printmaking or papermaking? In this dual course, students will split their time learning papermaking and printmaking techniques and how to connect these art forms. In the first half of the course, students will work through creating pulp using the hollander beater, basic western-style sheet forming, as well as working with pigmented pulp, shaped paper forms, and watermarks. In the second half students will learn the relief printing process, safety working with Craft Alliance's presses, and multiple color techniques. In the end, students will be able to print on handmade paper created during the course.
