This is an introduction to the tools, machines, and foundational methods of woodworking. Students will learn the ins and outs of marking and measuring, hand tools and their use and care, router setup and use, introduction to the jointer/planer, and bandsaw setup and use. Emphasis will be on safety, and the how’s and why’s and logic behind each tool’s care and use. All of these tools will be used to produce a beautiful serving tray.
